Commissioning work

If you would like to consider commissioning some work either in the form of an illustration for an article or story, or a bookcover design, or a larger painting or drawing, I would be delighted to hear from you.

This website shows some of the work I have completed during the past few years, but if you need something specific I would be happy to work with you to find the right solution.

My work has ranged in size from just a few inches square to large murals, and has made use of a wide range of materials including various types of paint, collage, charcoal, photocollage and printmaking. I often work to produce digital prints from my work, and have produced several sets of illustrations working purely by email.

In the first instance I will produce a rough composition to fit in with your briefing, for which there is normally no charge. If you are satisfied that I can meet your requirements, and you wish to go ahead, we would then negotiate a fixed price.

For new authors I might be prepared to offer a one-off free illustration if I feel I can reasonbly fit in the work. ASK!

As a new-to-the-scene illustrator my charges are very competitive, and I would be prepared to accept a small royalty as an alternative to an upfront payment.

It should be noted that the copyright of any artwork remains with the artist, and the work may only be used for the specific commission without further negotiation with the artist.
